Exterior at Es Baluard museum

The Es Baluard museum was planned to be a continuation of the natural landscape that surrounds it, designed with simple, clean cut lines and nestled in the old city walls that protect it. The building was designed by a team of architects consisting of brothers Jaime and Luís García Ruiz, Ángel Sánchez-Cantalejo and Vicente Tomás. It is spread over three floors which are connected by ramps, sky lights and balconies, creating a space flooded with natural light and always linking the interior and exterior parts. The building covers a total area of 5.027 m², 2.500 of which are used as exhibition areas.
