The wonderful green gardens at La Granja are one of the main attractions to this establishment. Here you will see many fine examples of typical Mallorcan flora such as rosemary, asparagus, oak trees, pines, conifers and shrubs. There are many pathways with shady areas as well as an attractive pond in the gardens. The star of the garden however, has to be the one thousand year old Yew tree which stands at the end of the pond and is one of the few trees of its kind left on the island. The Yew tree has always provided good, hard wood but bears poisonous fruit.
