Even if you don’t visit the Es Baluard Museum itself, it is worth coming to the gallery to pop into the cafe located in the courtyard and overlooking the marina with its pretty jetties. This pleasant spot offers spectacular views, a sculpture terrace and is the ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine on a balmy summer evening. Some think that the Es Baluard Museum building is of equal interest to the exhibitions that it houses as it is located in a restored bastion which dates back to the 16th century and which originally protected the south-west tip of the city. There is a pretty park with fountains and flowerbeds located nearby.
